Presentation Guidelines

The following information is available to assist you in preparation for your attendance at IHPBA 2016.

All presenters have been sent an email of acceptance containing the link to confirm your attendance at IHPBA 2016, it is essential that you complete this step to ensure that your abstract is detailed within the abstract book and congress programme.  If you have not received this link, please contact ihpba2016@abstractserver.com.

Oral Presentations

All oral presenters are requested to upload their presentation in the Speaker Ready Room (Santos Room) at least two hours prior to your scheduled presentation.  Please see the link below for the guidelines for submitting your presentation file(s):

Talking Poster Presentations

All Talking Poster presenters are requested to upload their presentation in the Talking Poster Slide Check-in area at least two hours prior to your scheduled presentation.  Please see the link below for the guidelines for submitting your presentation file(s):

E-Poster Presentations

The e-Poster upload programme will be available from 21 January 2016.  Prior to that date you will receive an email containing the link for the e-Poster upload accompanied with a user name and password.  Please note you will not receive the email unless you have confirmed your participation by 10 December 2015.

All e-posters must be uploaded before 31 March 2016. You will not be able to upload your ePoster onsite at the congress venue. Please note the deadline date of 31 March 2016.

Video and E-Video Presentations (from Abstract Submissions)

You are not required to submit your video again, the original video will be available at the designated times within the Congress programme.

If you have a video presentation it is essential you report to the Speaker Ready Room at least two hours prior to your scheduled presentation to ensure all is in order with your video. Please bring a copy of your video as a backup.

A network-based presentation system will be employed, along with a congress-specific interface which will ensure perfect quality of all presentations.  All rooms are equipped with the necessary technical requirements and additional back-up systems.  Please note that under no circumstances will personal laptops be permitted.

The Speaker Ready Room (SRR) is located in the Santos Room in Level C by the registration area on the first floor of the WTC Sheraton Hotel.  The SRR will be open during the following hours with technicians available to assist you:

Tuesday 19th April: 17.00 – 20.00hrs
Wednesday 20th April: 06.30 – 18.30hrs
Thursday 21st April: 06.00 – 18.30hrs
Friday 22nd April: 06.00 – 18.30hrs
Saturday 23rd April: 06.30 – 18.00hrs

Please note the following instructions:

  • On your first presentation slide, you are required to disclose all financial interests within the past 12 months preceding this Congress. If you do not have a template click here to download a disclosure template for inclusion in your presentation.
  • If you have nothing to disclose, you still need to include a disclosure statement. Please include on your first slide “I, (insert name) DO NOT have a financial interest/arrangement or affiliation with one or more organisation which could be perceived as a real or apparent conflict of interest in the context of the subject of this presentation”.
  • You are not permitted to use Company logos in your presentation slides.
  • Only MS-PowerPoint (*.ppt and *.pptx) presentations with video formats will be accepted.
  • Presentations attached to e-mails cannot be processed.
  • Remember to bring your video files as separate files if you use PowerPoint 2007 or older!
